The Rob Thomas production was hoping for a full season order, and although a request for 22-episodes has yet to materialize, iZombie's brain-munching heroine will stick around for an extra 6 season 2 episodes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6: Marlene King Confirms Exciting Rumors, Is Season 7 Really The End?

"We are building towards 22 episodes. I think we're going to get to do 22, so we're breaking towards 22. If it's a disaster, we'll start thinking about 13, but I feel good," Thomas told Collider in October. "We have nine that play before the break for the holidays, and we've built a really big Episode 9. And then, Episode 13, we're treating as just an episode on the way to 22. That could change, but that's how we're building it."

For those who are thinking about tuning in for the first time, iZombie revolves around the story of Liv, a doctor who was accidently turned into a zombie following an ill-fated boat party. As her friends work to engineer a cure for the energy drink/drug cocktail that creates the undead, Liv uses her new powers to help the Seattle PD solve murders.
