NCIS: Los Angeles' Marty Deeks has really stepped in it this time.

'NCIS: LA' Season 7 Spoilers: Highly Anticipated Two-Part Russia Episode Revealed, 'Worth Every Minute Of The Wait'

The final moments of "Defectors" left Kensi (Daniela Ruah) baffled as the LAPD slapped the cuffs on Detective Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) in conjunction with their ongoing internal affairs investigation. The charge? Murder.

While Kensi is sure her partner would never cross such a line, Deeks isn't quite sure.

"Kensi is the person he has the best and most successful relationship he's ever had in his life, but yet there's something in his past that is so bad that he's afraid to admit it to her and I think also to himself," Olsen teased, according to E! Online. "He just hoped it would go away and obviously this is the resurrection of this darkness."

Unsurprisingly, Kensi will not be particularly thrilled that Deeks is being uncooperative, especially considering the situation.

"It's definitely really tough for her to deal with," Ruah explained. "I think she knows there's more to the story than what he's saying, and he's not opening up to her. That's hurtful not only on a partner level but also on a relationship level."

No matter. Callen's (Chris O'Donnell) team will still be ready to pull out all the stops to get Deeks back where he belongs. If Deeks does manage to get out of this scrape, he may want to take Hetty (Linda Hunt) up on her offer to become a fully-fledged agent. If this whole IA debacle is any indication, it doesn't seem as if the LAPD really wants him around.
