Even though Lamar Odom has been making significant progress ever since he was found unconscious in a brothel last month, his life might never be the same. There is new speculation that his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian might have to arrange a full-time nurse for the former NBA star, just so she can get on with her life as Lamar continues to struggle with his own.

According to People Magazine on Wednesday, sources say that Lamar will have to continue his hospitalization for the next several weeks and it is unknown if he'll ever walk and talk on his own again. In fact, there's a good chance that he will need full-time care or will end up in a health care facility.

A source told the publication, "Lamar has made some progress, but his cognitive impairment is making life very challenging."

The insider added, "Lamar won't likely leave the hospital for a long time. And when he does, he will need full time care. He can't take care of himself."

What's more, Khloe won't be able to take care of Lamar herself, as she and her ex are not even close, as they parted ways back in 2013. The ex-couple only decided to cancel their divorce proceedings last month so Khloe can make medical decisions on behalf of her husband.

And while there have been rumors that suggest Khloe and Lamar are getting back together again, it looks like they are far from being close to the truth, too. Khloe has been seen out and about on several occasions with her boyfriend, Houston Rockets star James Harden.

Still, insiders say Lamar is incredibly grateful for Khloe's support. The tipster said, "With Khloé in his life, Lamar is very lucky. She has been amazing."
