Ranbir Kapoor apparently can't get married unless he gets permission from his ex-girlfriend.

On Tuesday, The Indian Express posted details from the actor and his former lover Deepika Padukone who stars alongside the actor in the film Tamasha. While these two seem to share a decent relationship following their romance, Padukone opened up on the possibility of Kapoor getting married someday.

"Ranbir can't get married till I allow it," she said.

There have been rumors back and forth saying that Kapoor might be planning to tie the knot with actress Katrina Kaif. These two have managed to keep their dating life to themselves although the actor made it clear that he'll let everyone know if it happens.

"It's a very big question about my life," he said. "I completely believe in the institution of marriage. When I will get married, I will let the whole world know about it."

In another report from The Indian Express, Kapoor opened up on how he was more public about his romantic life when he was dating Padukone. But now that they're no longer together, he realized it's best to keep some things private.

"With time and age you understand that probably when you get closer to marriage, you get closer to a little bit of seriousness because it is such a spoken thing," he said. "Everyone talks and writes about it. It is better that way for our partners."
