Kate Middleton might have a lot of respect for her mother-in-law, but apparently she doesn't want to be anything like her. There's a new report that says the Duchess doesn't want to be another Princess Diana amid rumors that she is fighting royal isolation and doesn't want to be controlled by Queen Elizabeth the same way Princess Diana was when she was still married to Prince Charles. In fact, sources say that she doesn't want to end up "depressed" like Prince William's late mother, too.

Duchess Catherine News: Critics Say Kate Middleton's Diet Is Taking A Toll On Her Looks

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry this past week, the Duchess is making it known that she's not another pushover in the royal family. In fact, she's beginning to "regain power" now that she is no longer at home just taking care of her children and being reclusive. What's more, Kate's mother Carole Middleton is also helping her daughter "break free" as well.

Blogger Bianca wrote, "Carole had been orchestrating a royal revolution with Kate, breaking royal protocol and changing royal traditions. It clearly impacted Kate, whose first appearance after her mysterious extended break revealed an unhappy woman hiding her depression."

She added, "Over the past month, Kate has seemingly transformed back into the Duchess with a support system. Royals may have tried to isolate Kate, pulling another Princess Diana by isolating her from supportive and influential ideas that break with royal standards."

In fact, Kate has been seen much more in public in recent weeks after having spent the last few months on maternity leave with her 6-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte and her 2-year-old son Prince George.

So far, Kensington Palace has not made any comments about the report.
