Lt. Daniel Ogelsby was hugged by her daughter, as she couldn’t hold back her excitement, after his eight-month deployment.

Oglesby was one of hundreds of soldiers from Fort Carson’s 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, who returned home to Colorado from southwest Asia on Tuesday.

As he stood upright with the rest of the soldiers for the homecoming ceremony, his daughter, Karas, ran across the room right into his arms. While he may have still been in formation, but Oglesby bent down to hug and kiss his little girl making the moment even more heartwarming.

Many viewers were touched by the happening and didn’t seem to care that protocol had been slightly broken.
