Over the last two seasons, the quirky Disney series has found a place in the hearts of children and adults alike. As a tale of childhood and summer time, how could it not? The series' creator has opted to give the mystery a finite ending, and Alex Hirsch is spending Gravity Falls' last days teasing the final episode, "Weirdmageddon III."

For fans, the biggest question is whether or not the series finale will bring the tale to a satisfactory conclusion.

"Of course there's no way to satisfy every single fan's personal theories," Hirsch explained. "But our show reflects a genuine sincere effort by some really talented folks to make the coolest thing we can (with the time and budget available.) Will every single conceivable question ever thought of about Gravity Falls be answered in the end? Of course not."

That, however, doesn't mean the story is over for good.

"That just leaves some material for any potential Gravity Falls projects in the future...," Hirsch teased.
