Prince Harry usually likes to keep things private when it comes to his personal life, but the royal is finally opening up about losing his mother Princess Diana to the car crash that happened over 18 years ago. In fact, Prince William's little brother says losing Princess Diana felt like a "gaping hole that could never be filled."

According to Us Weekly on Friday, the royal hunk made the comments during a six-day trip to Lesotho and South Africa. He made a very special stop at the Sentebale Mamohato Children's Center, where he spoke about the tragic accident that took away his mother. What's more, he also explained how her loss inspired him to help other kids.

Prince Harry said, "I knew there would always be a gaping hole that could never be filled. The children at the center were far younger than me, and of course, their situation was a great deal more challenging than my own. Nonetheless, we shared a similar feeling of loss, having a loved one--in my case a parent--snatched away so suddenly."

Many of his fans seemed to agree that Prince Harry is definitely the one member of the British royal family who, just like his mother Princess Diana, seems to be making a real difference these days. Many comments included, "Harry reminds me so much of his mum, compassionate, caring and self-effacing," along with, "Everybody loves him, just the way Diana was The People's Princess while she was alive."

Another fan wrote, "Yes! I wish he was the heir. Harry seems to have inherited his mother's work ethic and passion for helping others. He'd be an amazing king."
