A major scandal is brewing concerning porn star James Deen and allegations that he has raped and assaulted several women over the years.

The adult film actor--whose real name is Bryan Savilla--has spoken out about allegations that have arisen following tweets by his ex-girlfriend, former porn star Stoya, who accused Deen of raping her, though she didn't specify when or where the incident took place.

"That thing where you log into the internet for a second and see people idolizing the guy who raped you as a feminist. That thing sucks," she wrote before naming Deen as her attacker. "James Deen held me down and f***ed me while I said no, stop, used my safeword. I just can't nod and smile when people bring him up anymore."

Deen initially did not comment on the allegations, which soon became even more serious when other women began speaking up about encounters with him as well, or hinting that they may have had similar experiences with him.

Since Stoya's tweets, fellow ex-porn star Tori Lux recounted in an essay that Deen assaulted her after she refused a sexual encounter with him back in 2011. His ex-girlfriend Joanna Angel seemed to speak out as well by showing her support for Stoya on social media. In addition, Ashley Fire has also spoken up about an altercation with Deen.

Since the onslaught of allegations, Deen has spoken up on his own Twitter account to refute them, saying he knows boundaries and respects them.

"There have been some egregious claims made against me on social media," he wrote. "I want to assure my friends, fans and colleagues that these allegations are both false and defamatory. I respect women and I know and respect limits both professionally and privately."

Since then, Deen's sex advice column has been discontinued from website The Frisky, and the fate of past columns is still to be determined.
