The Blacklist may soon welcome a mini Keen into the picture.

'The Blacklist' Season 3: What Is In The Briefcase? EP Dishes On Liz's Care Package

Liz (Megan Boone) opened the series with her life all planed out - a stable job, a good husband, and plans to adopt a child. Once Red Reddington (James Spader) came on to the scene, however, those plans turned into daydreams. Now, three seasons later, Liz may realize her dreams of motherhood in an unexpected twist - Boone's real life pregnancy.

The NBC series has yet to decide how Boone's baby bump will figure into the story, but, considering she is allegedly three months along, the writers will need to come up with a solution right quick.

'The Blacklist' Season 3: Can Ressler & Tom Put Aside Their Differences For Liz? EP Teases Shocking Twist

"We are still trying to figure it out," executive producer Jon Bokenkamp informed Entertainment Weekly. "It plays in a number of different ways, both story wise and physically, for Megan in trying to figure out what that would mean to the show."

Could Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold)) become a father? Liz hooked up with her ex last season, and while they relationship status is so far beyond complicated, the pair may have to come back together if a little bundle of joy falls into their laps.

The Blacklist could also attempt to hide the pregnancy, a strategy which worked wonderfully for How I Met Your Mother and NCIS: Los Angeles. Considering the prominence and physical requirements of Liz's role, however, this may prove difficult.
