The NFL has yet to decide who will play in the 2016 Super Bowl, but negotiations are well underway for the famed halftime extravaganza. Reportedly, one of this year's performers will be British alternative outfit Coldplay, according to USA Today.

Comprised of Chris Martin (piano/vocals), Guy Berryman (bass), Jonny Buckland (guitar), and Will Champion (drums), the group is primed to celebrate their 20 th anniversary in 2016. Despite their long reign and Top 40 popularity, there are already some sites calling their booking a mistake.
