Justin Theroux easily looks like one of the toughest guys in Hollywood. However, the actor is left shaken after almost drowning from a scuba diving trip in Bora Bora.

People reports that after undergoing basic training 10 feet deep and seeing "pretty fish," Justin decided to take his friends scuba diving the next day.

He was partnered with a diving instructor that spoke very little English. "There was no communicating, we could not talk," Theroux explained. "I was telling him, 'I've only done this once.'"

After diving too deep into the ocean, The Leftovers star realized that his oxygen was running low. His first attempt to signal his instructor was in vain. It was only the second time around that the instructor realized the actor was in danger.

Upon attaching a respirator, water began rushing down his throat. He panicked and began to think, "Oh my god this is like some plot to kill me on my honeymoon."

Luckily, the instructor caved and the group went back to the surface.
