The holiday season is about to get a little bit brighter for fans of The 100.

The CW post-apocalyptic saga is ramping up for season 3, and soon fans will have the first promo in their anxious hands. After an extended hiatus, nothing could make viewers happier.

The news comes after several exciting teasers from the series creator.

"Oh my God, guys. The Season 3 trailer is INSANE!!! Just a bit more to do to it before l can share! #The100," Rothenberg tweeted on Thursday.

When The 100 returns on Jan. 21, the Clarke's (Eliza Taylor) story will have jumped several months into the future. The young leader of the Arkers left her people behind following her heart-wrenching Mount Weather decision, and the teen will still be MIA. Bellamy (Bob Morley), meanwhile, will apparently be holding down the fort with the rest of the Sky People, although not without a little resentment toward his fellow mass murderer. Back at the alleged City of Light, Murphy (Richard Harmon) and Jaha (Isaiah Washington) will continue to unravel the tale of Alie the AI.

Catch the premiere Jan. 21 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
