After weathering a seemingly interminable hiatus, fans of The CW's gut-wrenching, post-apocalyptic drama will finally get a peek at the mayhem that lies ahead. By Monday night, the inaugural trailer will have made its way onto the Internet.

"Guys, we have picture lock on the S3 trailer. Powers-that-be onboard. So excited for you to see it. Aiming for Fri. Mon at latest," series creator Jason Rothenberg announced on Tuesday. Unlike last year's promo, this first clip will take the story well past the premiere. "We've now got 13 episodes of footage. This trailer goes deep."

Writers Aaron Gindburg and Kim Shumway took to social media to tease the release, touting The 100's tried and true warning - You. Are. Not. Ready.

"It just keeps getting better and better," Ginsburg said. "The last cut of it made me GASP. And I know what's happening. I can't wait for you all to see it."
