Sarah Paulson is reprising one of her previous American Horror Story roles in the AHS: Hotel finale - which marks two roles this season for the actress.

Emma Roberts Reveals Why She Won't Be On 'American Horror Story' This Season

Paulson will return to her role of psychic Billie Dean Howard in the American Horror Story: Hotel finale, according to a new Entertainment Weekly report. The actress originally played her in season 1, Murder House.

The reasoning behind Billie Dean's reappearance is that she comes to the Hotel Cortez after landing a reality show, figuring that the hotel will make for a good location for an episode of her show. It remains to be seen if Billie Dean will feel the effects of the haunted hotel.

Sarah Paulson's Sally Not In A 'Comfortable Place' On 'American Horror Story: Hotel'

Of course, Paulson is already playing drug addict/ghost Sally in Hotel, which makes Billie Dean her second role this season. It may be interesting if Billie Dean has some sort of interaction with Sally - especially considering the latter is a ghost. Finn Wittrock also played two different roles this season - one was model Tristan and the other was old Hollywood film star Rudolph Valentino.

Billie Dean's appearance marks yet another crossover with Murder House. Realtor Marcy (Christine Estabrook) showed up in both seasons, as did Dr. Charles Montgomery (Matt Ross) in a flashback sequence.

The finale of American Horror Story: Hotel will air in January, though a specific date has not yet been announced.

American Horror Story: Hotel airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
