The blackout during Super Bowl 47 lasted a total of 33 minutes and 55 seconds, leaving fans wondering if the game would ever be finished. While some reached for snacks or took extra-long bathroom breaks, actress Jenny McCarthy killed the time by getting a tattoo.

The 40-year-old mother and comedian posted a photo of her new ink on Twitter on Monday. The tattoo was a design of a rose decorated with vines inked on the top of her foot.

“Got a new tattoo during half time Black out. So excited 2 b wearing heels on The Today show this morning. Ouch,” she tweeted.

McCarthy hosted the “Leather and McLaces” Super Bowl kick-off party on Feb. 1 in New Orleans. The comedian is also gearing up for her late night talk show set to debut on VH1 on Feb. 8 at 10:30 p.m. The comedian promises “The Jenny McCarthy Show” will be a fresh take on the current talk show circuit. She told VH1 her plans to adopt Hugh Hefner’s former “Playboy After Dark” format and make it more of a “late-night after-party “ than a talk show.

“A lot of times watching talk shows, you’re watching a talk show. My template was Playboy After Dark, which Hugh Hefner did back in the day,” she explained. “I know that’s before everyone’s time and no one knows what I’m talking about, but he had this penthouse suite with celebrities and everyone was drinking and socializing and having real conversations.”

McCarthy - whose first time at TV success came with a dating show for 20-somethings called “Singled Out” - hopes to bring back her former co-host Chris Hardwick for a few appearances.

“We have an offer out to him for our Valentine’s Day Show, we want to do a special Singled Out segment, how fun would that be?” she said.
