Aside from Bobbi and Hunter, SHIELD romances generally end in death, betrayal, or life-shattering terrigenesis. Now that FitzSimmons have become more complicated that we could have ever expected, Daisy and Lincoln will step into the spotlight. The pair's "Maveth" kiss will springboard the Inhuman couple into midseason premiere.

"There's nothing like sacrificing yourself for the good of the entire team, but making it to show a little affection. It's at long last," executive producer Jed Whedon told Entertainment Weekly. "We just might see some dating. It's about time someone had a decent time."

After the trauma of the winter finale, the series really needs a bright spot in all the darkness. Although now that Daisy finally has her Secret Warriors team, Sparkplug and Quake might have a pretty packed schedule.

"Being a leader is a mixed bag," Whedon teased. "Daisy is going to find out that it's not just getting to call the shots. The decisions you make you have to live with. She'll have to face that reality in coming episodes."
