Beyoncé's Super Bowl halftime performance is now under scrutiny, with every frame of her energetic performance is being "analyzed from every angle" because she may have had a wardrobe malfunction, according to a report.
Hypervocal published a close-up shot of what may be Beyoncé's nipple busting out of her leather corset top. If it is indeed a legitimate nip slip, the wardrobe malfunction occurred exactly nine years after Janet Jackson's breast was flashed during the halftime show she headlined in 2005. Jackson's nip slip- thanks to Justin Timberlake who joined her onstage and accidentally pulled part of her top off and revealed her chest- made the term wardrobe malfunction more popular.
Gossip Cop noted that a debate has started about the image and the matter is being looked into - the screen shot on Hypervocal may have been alteredm according to the report.
Meanwhile, the "Halo" singer's padded shoulder corset and short black leather skirt with knee-high boots won rave reviews in fashion reports.
The mother-of-one arrived on stage to perform her opening hit "Crazy In Love" in a cropped motorcycle jacket with padded shoulders and a mini-wrap skirt. Later, she tore off both items and revealed an intricate lace-detail leather skirt and leather corseted bodysuit.
Fashion designer Rubin Singer said he worked with Beyoncé and her wardrobe team for a series of meetings that included not less than five fittings. It took a staff of 14 and over 200 man hours for Singer to execute the vision. Singer and his crew were hard at work every day in New Orleans during the last week leading up to the Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3.
"We had to make the bodysuit have a tremendous range of motion and flexibility," Singer told The Hollywood Reporter. "Beyoncé is such a fierce and intense performer; we could not have the outfit constrict her in any way."
Singer also created the costumes for Destiny's Child bandmate Michelle Williams as well as the jackets for the show's 120 backup dancers.
