The chances of winning a jackpot from the lottery are one in a million. Very few of us in our lifetime have ever benefitted from those odds. An even smaller number have been lucky enough to win a jackpot twice. For one lucky pair in the South, the odds were definitely stacked in their favor.

A couple from Arkansas set out for a day of fishing and came home to discover a much better catch: two winning lottery tickets they purchased on the very same day.

Stephen Weaver and his wife Terri were on that fishing trip when they stopped to purchase the first ticket at T-Ricks convenience store in Pangburn, which is sixty miles northeast of Little Rock, according to the Arkansas Lottery Commission. They returned to that same store to buy another ticket on their way home.

While the prize for the first ticket was $1 million dollars, the second ticket was only worth a mere $50,000. According to their state lottery commission, The Weavers have already claimed their winnings on Feb. 4. They intend to pay off their debts and invest the money into their retirement plans.
