Back on Thanksgiving, Liam Payne actually announced "Infinity" would be the next single, following behind "Drag Me Down" and "Perfect," but now 1D made a new announcement following their emotional time on The X Factor in the United Kingdom Sunday night.

Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have been performing "Infinity" and "History" live a lot recently, but the response to "History" has been far more thrilling, so they decided to make "History" the third single.
