It looks like this really might be the end of the Duggar era after all. Apparently, the reality television family's only hope for ratings survival is now gone as both fans and critics alike can't help but slam their latest spin-off show, Jill and Jessa: Still Counting, by calling it "utterly boring" and a huge waste of time.

Jill Duggar News: Husband Derick Dillard Rumored To Have Jaw Surgery

According to Jezebel on Monday, the Duggars are going to have to whip something up their sleeve before they become yesterday's news. The site said that if the first episode is an indication of what's to come, the series is not doing much to either "redeem or entertain" their fans.

Blogger Joanna Rothkopf wasn't very impressed with Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard's missionary trip to Central America. What's more, she didn't find Jessa Duggar's pregnancy worth watching and didn't have very nice things to say about her husband, Ben Seewald, as well.

Jill And Jessa Duggar News: Are The Reality TV Sisters Using Their Molestation Scandal To Boost Ratings?

She wrote, "The hour began with a riveting segment about Derick Dillard's mouth surgery, and then transitioned into the ostensible main topics of the show: Jill and Derick's mission trip to 'Central America' (why do they not say what country?) and Jessa's unremarkable pregnancy."

She added, "One attempt at humanizing the deeply boring husbands came in the form of a scene in which Derrick teaches Ben Seewald, Jessa's husband, how to be a father," but apparently that wasn't worth sticking around for, either.

The site's readers seem to agree, too, as they commented with, "I feel genuinely bad for Jill and Jessa, who were raised in what essentially amounts to a cult and had their traumatic childhood experiences outed to the world without their consent," while another wrote, "Jesus Christ, why won't these people just GO AWAY???"

Another critic wrote, "Hopefully this show commits the ultimate sin which finishes them off for good. Not molestation, incest, cheating on a partner, etc...No. Boring story lines."
