The end is nigh for Person of Interest, but the series isn't about to leave its fans in a lurch.

'Person Of Interest' Season 5: 'Milestones' Coming For Shaw & Root Romance, When Will They Be Reunited?

The CBS series received a truncated fifth season, and while no official decision has been made regarding a potential renewal, the shortened run has fanned rumors of a cancellation. If Person of Interest is nearing its inevitable conclusion, executive producer Greg Plageman promises that the season/series finale will provide a satisfying end, if not wrap it up with a bow.

"The way we are crafting the season is that if this is it, if this is the end, I don't think anyone's going to leave unsatisfied," Plageman told TV Line.

On the other hand, should Person of Interest get a second wind, Finch (Michael Emerson) and Co. have plenty of story left in front of them.

"We have always felt like there was more story to tell," Plageman said, intimating that the writers have enough fuel to make it through a seventh season.

Person of Interest has yet to receive a season 5 premiere date.
