Mercedes Benz Fashion Week announced a formidable partnership with IMG that will allow fashionistas around the globe including retail customers, bloggers and more who are unable to acquire the press and buyer credentials needed the access the events. The live stream allows them to preview the upcoming fall fashion trends as each model walks out wearing a new outfit. Many of the looks seen will arrive in retail and online stores in August.

There was a 165 percent increase in online viewership last year due to "an unprecedented audience size worldwide," according to IMG.

"At IMG Fashion, we constantly look to provide innovative solutions for designers to connect with buyers, press and consumers around the globe," Peter Levy SVP and Managing Director IMG Fashion Worldwide Events and Properties said in a statement. "Our extended partnership with Rightster will allow us to bring the rich content live from the runways to fans and media who support the event, opening the doors for designers worldwide."

Viewers could watch live online Thursday some of the top designers, include Kenneth Cole at 7 p.m. and Richard Chai at 11 a.m.. Chai was named Swarovski Menswear Designer of the Year at the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards and was a finalist for GQ/CFDA's Best New Men's Designer in America.

Tadashi Shoji, whose show is at 2 p.m., dressed many celebrities for the red carpet including  Beckinsale, Dita Von Teese, Florence Welch and Katy Perry. Last year, Actress Octavia Spencer wore exclusively Shoji's designs for all of her red carpet appearances, including when she won a Golden Globe and an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Help.
