The fashions that appear on almost any red carpet are guaranteed to make headlines and some looks are subject to scrutiny more than others.

Here's some of the women who pulled off winning looks during the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 10.

Rihanna's look was a big winner on the red carpet. Wearing a flowing red gown designed by Azzedine Alaia, Neil Lane jewelry and Manolo Blahnik shoes, the pop singer opted for an overall classic, elegant look with flowing curls and a matching bold lip color.

Alicia Keys also wore Azzedine Alaia and paired her gown with Jimmy Choo shoes. However, unlike Rihanna's gown, hers was a form-fitting black dress that hugged her curves.

The black-and-white jumpsuit by Osman studio was an understated choice for Beyoncé. Just last Sunday at the Super Bowl halftime show, the pop star electrified millions of viewers with both her exciting performance and revealing leather outfit designed by Rubin Singer.

Miranda Lambert was a vision in her Robert Cavalli gown. The curvaceous country singer chose a long, flowing gown that highlighted her attributes well.

Former Destiny's Child member and solo artist Kelly Rowland was not afraid to push the boundaries recently set by the Grammy's "no skin" rule. Donning a form-fitting Georges Chakra gown, the vertical panels along the sides and front of the gown was a bold choice, giving off the illusion of nudity without actually baring a thing.

Jennifer Lopez's nod to Angelina Jolie's leggy-look at last year's Oscars was also a daring move in light of the recent nudity rules imposed by the Grammys. Lopez wore a black, one-shoulder gown designed by Anthony Vaccarello with a high slight revealing the singer/actress's leg.
