Jodi Arias, the woman accused of killing her ex-lover, Travis Alexander, took a break from testifying on Feb.7 .

Maricopa County judge Sherry Stephens said that court would not be in session on Thursday so that there could be an evidentiary hearing that was closed to the public and media.

The trial is expected to resume on Monday, Feb. 11.

Arias testified for three days this week. On Monday, she admitted she brutally murdered Alexander at his Mesa, Arizona home in 2008 out of self-defense.

On Tuesday, Arias shared how she first met Alexander in 2006 and weeks after the pair met they had several encounters that ended with oral sex.

When Alexander was converting her to Mormonism, she was interviewed by the Mormon church and asked if she understood their views on chastity shortly before her baptism. Arias said she thought she did understand their views in a "technical sense" because Alexander told her oral sex was fine.

"Your understanding of the law of chastity was abstaining from penile/vaginal intercourse, that is what your understanding was? Is that correct?" asked her attorney.

"Yes," replied Arias.

Arias went into great detail Wednesday about how she started to feel used by her on-again, off-again boyfriend, who she said wanted her only for sex and manipulated her through religion. Arias' attorney had her discuss even more scenarios where she felt disrespected and "used," in order to portray Alexander was obsessed with sex and secrecy all while pretending to be a devout Mormom who had no interest in having a real relationship with Arias. Since they met in September 2006 until his death in June 2008, they exchanged and took nude photos of themselves, had oral and anal sex, and eventually intercourse.

Wednesday's testimony ended with Arias telling the jury about Valentine's Day 2007. She said Alexander sent her a package with chocolate and a pair of women's underwear with the name "Travis'" written across the bottom.

Arias is expected to take the stand when the trial resumes next week.
