NCIS star Michael Weatherly apparently is having a rough time with alcohol these days.

Last month the 47-year-old was pulled over in Hollywood for speeding while driving under the influence.

Now, National Enquirer is reporting that Weatherly's friends and family want him to go to rehab to kick the drinking habit.

"Friends are worried about him," an insider told the tabloid, adding, "They're telling him to go into rehab and get ahold of his life."

Apparently pressure is getting to the actor when it comes to balancing his career and home life, which is why he has turned to drinking.

"Like a lot of Hollywood stars, he is under pressure right now to balance his home life and professional life," the insider dished, adding, "He's got a lot on the table and probably needs to catch his breath a little bit."

Plus, those close to him are fearful he will wind up serving time for his intoxicated driving.

"No one wants to see the judge in the case throw the book at him," the source revealed, explaining, "Going into rehab will hopefully convince the judge that Michael is serious, while at the same time help him personally."

Now this should be taken with a grain of salt, since tabloids don't always have all the details.

Weatherly seems to be keen on yoga and other healthy lifestyle habits so perhaps the drunk driving incident in November was a one-time mistake.
