Carrie Underwood opened up on her latest hit and the inspiration that came behind it.

Carrie Underwood Says Her Son 'Loves Music'

On Monday, E! News shared a behind-the-scenes look at the singer's music video for her new song "Heartbeat." Underwood said that the idea for the song came from her relationship with husband, Mike Fisher, and their busy lives that come from attending events.

"I really don't do a lot of love songs...it has to really be my story," the singer said. "We're both so busy and always going places...so it's a good reminder I think for me. Sometimes you just have to make things simpler and escape all the noise. Definitely a lot of us in there."

Underwood and Fisher have also been busy at home taking care of their ten-month-old son, Isaiah. But no matter how hectic their lives are, the family is always there for each other. In fact, the video for "Heartbeat" uses a mindful perspective of the country star's relationship with her husband.

"I really just wanted to make it an extension of the song," Underwood said. "The things that you should imagine while you're listening to the song, we want to kind of bring those to life."

Some of the lyrics in the song include, "And tonight I wanna drive so far we'll only find static on the radio. And we can't see those city lights and I love the way you look in a firefly glow."
