They've been denying dating rumors following her split from Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid, but rumors are still swirling about a possible secret relationship between former Friends co-stars Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry.

According to OK! Magazine, Cox, 51, and Perry, 46, have been getting even closer since her split last month, despite the actress' rep denying any such romance is going on.

"Matthew was one of the first people she called when Johnny left, and they've spoken almost daily since," an alleged close friend of Cox told the magazine.

And, the source alleges, it appears Cox is the one who is trying to take things out of the friend zone.

"She's ready to take their long-simmering attraction to the next level," the source added.

Rumors swirled about the possible romance last week, with claims the two had hooked up after Cox became a single woman again, though the reports were quickly denied.

The two portrayed Chandler Bing and Monica Geller-Bing on the ten-year show, which wrapped in 2004. Their characters hooked up at the end of season four, and married in the season seven finale. They remained together until the show ended.

In real life, Perry secretly dated actress Lizzy Caplan from 2006-2012. Cox was married to actor David Arquette from 1999-2013.

However, it appears the continued rumors are still just that, because Cox has also been spotted out recently having dinner with Amy Poehler's ex-husband, Will Arnett.

The two were spotted allegedly getting cozy, though they two are being described as just friends.

"It was just the two of them together," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "They tried sneaking out and the manager helped them leave separately."
