Makeup artist extraordinaire Lori Depp (yes, she was once married to Johnny Depp) has taken the plunge into establishing her very own company with a line of a specific beauty product. Lori, who's glammed up everyone from Jessica Alba to her good friend Christina Applegate, is known for creating such beautiful works of art through people's faces, but most importantly, she has an eye for lips. So it makes sense that her beauty product of choice for her very first makeup collection is lip gloss.

Enstars spoke with the talented makeup artist all about her lip gloss company, Serendeppity, in which she dished the 10 glosses that are "very moisturizing" and have multiple uses, as well as some beauty tips just in time for winter and the holiday season. Plus, we learned all about an interesting moment in her career as a makeup artist.

Enstars: What was the process for formulating each of the 10 colors in the collection?
Lori Depp:
The process was pretty simple. The colors I selected are colors I would wear. The ingredients are all animal-friendly and made in the United States, which was important to me. The glosses are very versatile. I just went with colors I think everyone can use. They can be used on your cheeks and I use the clear one on my cuticles. They're all very moisturizing. People should experiment with them.

Which color is your favorite and why?
Oh gosh, I actually have two favorites. My favorite, favorite is "Marilyn" because red lipstick is my signature color... Then my other favorite is "Misty" because it's nude and I can mix it with a lot of other colors and products. I like mixing a lipstick with it.

How did you come up with the names for these colors?
It's funny because when I started to name them it was right before I was going to sleep so I was kind of in a half-sleep state, but I knew as soon as I looked at each color what I wanted to call them.

"Baby Jane" and "Blanche" were actually inspired by the movie What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? With Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. My best friend and I are basically Baby Jane and Blanche. Davis played Baby Jane and Crawford portrayed Blanche. The colors they wear in the film are actually red, but I thought my interpretation of "Baby Jane" would be a nice pink and then "Blanche" would be peachy.

"Olivia" is clear and that was inspired by my favorite actress when I was 12 years old; Olivia Hussey. She was in the Franco Zeffirelli version of Romeo and Juliet. She was so gorgeous and so naturally beautiful. It's pure so that is how "Olivia" was named.

"Sandy" is named after Olivia Newton-John in Grease because I think Sandy would wear that color. (Laughs)

"Marilyn" is obviously inspired by Marilyn Monroe. It's a classic red.

"Knockout" is inspired by Laila Ali. She is boxer Muhammad Ali's daughter. She's a knockout fighter. It is a darker shade and reminds me of giving someone a black eye. It's a very rich color. And when I say "Knockout" it has a double meaning, it's a knockout color; it's stunning.

"Pinky" was named after my friend Pinky.

Then "Wild Horses" is named that because one of my favorite songs from The Rolling Stones is "Wild Horses" and it's a brick-y color so it could be the coloring of a horse.

Then "Black Cherries" was named solely since it looks like what black cherries squeezed look like. People used to stain their lips with black cherries and this is representative of that.

Lastly "Misty" is named after a character in Play Misty for Me that stars Clint Eastwood.

Switching gears, are there any beauty products that you consider "absolute musts" for winter?
Winter is pretty easy since you don't sweat so you don't need to wear a lot of powder. The two things that I recommend that everybody has in their makeup arsenal are a wet n wild 666 Brandy Wine Lip Liner pencil. It's really so close to people's natural lip color that you can put it on and put a little lip gloss on over it and it looks fantastic. The other must is a not-too-shiny cream blusher. Use it sparingly so you get a little bit of a glow. Too much shine and dew is too oily looking.

What makeup tips do you have for the holiday season?
Stay away from glitter unless you're really doing it up for a party. I think sticking with neutrals is key. I always say: "Every person needs to do what looks good on them."

Share with us one your most memorable experiences as a makeup artist.
I've been working for 30 years and 90 percent of my experiences have been with celebrities and the one experience that probably made me the most nervous and it just stands out the most in my mind is when I worked with Sting I think in the late eighties.

It was for a MTV Rockumentary and he was very sunburned. It was in Florida and I happened to be there on vacation. The producer was a friend of mine so I was called to see if I'd do Sting's makeup. I remember the call. "Can you do makeup on him? He has a really bad sunburn!" I went to the nearest beauty supply store in practically hurricane weather and picked up some makeup.

What the average person doesn't know is that green neutralizes red. He was so very red so I bought some green makeup to mix in with the foundation and when he saw me put it on his face he almost had a heart attack. He said, "You're not going to make me look green are you?" I assured him I wouldn't by keeping a mirror in front of him as I did his makeup. He looked fine once I was done and went off without a hitch. I was nervous though since he was, but it turned out great.
