It was a devistating year for the characters of The 100, but when it is not. From massacres to City of Light revelations, these are the Top 5 scenes we think defined the Arkers, Grounders, and Mountain Men's journey in 2015.

"Life Should Be About More Than Just Surviving"

It's the kiss that rocked the fandom and made the Clexa 'ship cannon. Existing in a world where race and sexual orientation have ceased to matter, The 100 is in a prime position to serve as a vehicle for the LGBT relationships fans have failed to see materialize in other series. Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Lexa's (Alycia Debnam-Carey) intimate moment in "Bodyguard of Lies" epitomized that potential and revealed a whole new layer of vulnerability for both characters.

"Together"

It's the last word Bellamy (Bob Morley), Monty (Christopher Larkin), and Clarke heard before their lives changed in the most devastating way possible. In order to save their people, the trio became mass murderers, irradiating the men, women, and children of Mount Weather in one fell swoop. It's a burden that will weigh on the Arker heroes well into the future.

"Harvest Them All"

Bellamy and Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) teamed up to give the Grounder/Arker alliance an inside man at Mount Weather, but their plans went sideways as Lincoln learned the hard way that drug addiction is a vicious mistress. Expecting the former Reaper to turn his back on the proffered Red was a last minute decision, and it is one that did not pan out for Bellamy. Luckily, a quick thinking Maya (Eve Harlow) was there to pick up the pieces.

"Werewolves of London"

Ahh, the promised land. The City of Light. The...wait...what's happening? Why is that man shooting himself! Who is Alie the AI? What really happened 97 years ago? So many questions...we're just going to have to wait until season 3 for the answers.

"Through Murder?" "Through Sacrifice"

This is the moment Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) becomes our hero and Jaha (Isaiah Washington) goes off the deep end. Lexa gives her two Arker prisoners an ultimatum - one must die for the sins of their people, and the other must kill him. Kane tries to settle the score by taking his own life, but Jaha won't allow it. Instead, he puts a knife to Lexa's throat. It's a decisive moments for the two men; it puts one leader on the road to redemption and the other on the road to the City of Light.

Bonus

It's Christmas, and this scene is about as festive as the post apocalyptic drama gets.
