Katy Perry was among the many stars that did not get the CBS wardrobe memo or who instead found a fashion loop hole.

She wore a tight mint green dress that visibly showed all her cleavage at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 10. Perry, who attended the awards with boyfriend John Mayer, was dressed in a skin tight Gucci dress that got Ryan Seacrest and Ellen DeGeneres' attention on the red carpet.

Prior to Sunday's Grammys, CBS released a memo asking that stars tone down the amount of skin shown at the awards show.

"Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic," CBS' email read, which was sent out to all attendees.

"Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure," it continued. "OBSCENITY OR PARTIALLY SEEN OBSCENITY ON WARDRBE IS UNACCEPTABALE FOR BROADCAST."

The Wide Awake singer was interviewed by Seacrest on the red carpet. He asked her look and she discussed the inspiration for her outfit.

"I was inspired by Priscilla Presley in the '70s," the singer explained. Without addressing her scandalous dress, she chose instead to focus on her flowing hairstyle. "The big hair, closer to God," she said.

Seacrest's co-host Giuliana Rancic later asked how he kept focused during her interview. Seacrest's responded with, "When you are my height you have a lot of experience staying focused at that eye line. Lots of practice."

Ellen DeGeneres was photographed staring at Perry's cleavage with her mouth wide open. She tweeted a picture on Feb. 10 that was captioned, "Here I am, taking a tasteful glance at Katy Perry's dress."
