Styles that grace the red carpet at any awards show will surely make headline news, but the question on everyone's mind is whether or not a celebrity's fashion sense will be a "hit" or "miss."

Here are some of the ladies who are said to have missed the bar with their fashion choices at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 10.

Katy Perry's form-fitting Gucci dress was not a flattering choice for the 28-year-old pop star. While the plunging front pushed the boundaries recently set by the Grammy's "no skin" rule, the head-to-toe, pale green color made the singer appear washed out. The bejeweled neckline also appeared more wreath-like and did little to compliment the singer or her gown.

Carly Rae Jepsen may have penned the infectious hit Call Me Maybe, which was nominated for Song of the Year, but her Robert Cavalli black-sequin number got considerably unfavorable reviews from critics for aging the budding pop star.

English singer/songwriter Florence Welch, lead singer of Florence and the Machine, could have been a stunner on the red carpet with Givenchy metallic green gown. However, the reptilian-like spikes placed on the front of the dress were just downright scary.

While jazz artist Esperanza Spalding picked up the award for Best Jazz Vocal Album, her gown's bold choice in print coupled with her free-flowing Afro simply overwhelmed her petite frame.

Another winner from last night included pop sensation Adele for Best Pop Solo Performance. While she took top honors last year in winning Album of the Year, she missed the mark with her Valentino print dress. Both the volume and embroidered design made the gown appear heavy and more like curtains or an old-fashioned tablecloth.
