Starter Wives Confidential, TLC's newest reality show, will air its third episode on Tuesday.

The synopsis for the upcoming show focuses on the conflicts that began when Hurricane Sandy hit New York and the co-stars' relationships.

Enstarz spoke exclusively with one of the show's stars, Monica Joseph-Taylor - the soon-to-be ex-wife of Funkmaster Flex, who is a renowned New York City radio DJ/entrepreneur and television star.

Joseph-Taylor discussed a variety of topics - the difficulty of transitioning from their 20-year relationship, the successful career she attained independent of her husband and the drama with another co-star over inviting rapper Lil' Kim to her an event for her website, MommysDirtyLittleSecret.com.

Joseph-Taylor, who has "been in entertainment as long as she can remember," admitted that it was a "big transition" for her to work from behind-the-scenes as a television producer to in front of the camera. (Aside from a brief appearance on a show on the Oxygen network.)

"I am a producer, I have executive produced a lot of shows and I am one of the few Black women who own their own catalog of TV shows," Jospeh-Taylor said. "I sell it, all around the world in 15 countries and I've supported myself for the last 10 years like that. A lot of people don't know that including all of (my ex) Flex's shows. I also was on-air at Oxygen."

Joseph-Taylor shared the success she had with various business ventures in addition to helping Flex with his blog, television and radio show. She said the entire Taylor family, including their two children, often joined them in working on their businesses.

"I started a line of products for kids because I was spending a lot of time at home with my kids. I can't not work," she said. "in the Taylor house we all are doing stuff and I started a company called Moms Made Easy and I went to HSN and they loved it. Moms Made easy is a line of homework boxes for kids. I actually designed & created it. It took a year and a half, I went to China and made and manufactured these boxes that are everything a parent needs. We sold it on HSN it was super successful."

Later, Joseph-Taylor faced a tough decision when she abandoned one of her businesses as their marriage faltered. She shared how she came to choose one to focus on.

"I would say I have two sides: Moms Made Easy like the soccer mom and then I go to pole dancing classes, that's (what) Mommys Dirty Little Secret, my blog is about," she said. "I had a bunch of businesses since and then as my marriage started to deteriorate I couldn't do both and I had to pick one and I picked my blog.

"Homework Boxes still sort of runs itself and then I started blogging. Flex and I started our blogs together and that (became) my focus on what to do."

Joseph-Taylor briefly touched on the drama that ensued in the premiere episode with her co-star Zaikya, who was upset that she invited rapper Lil' Kim to an event she threw for her website. Lil' Kim allegedly dated Zakiya's ex-boyfriend, Brooklyn rapper Maino, before she broke up with him.

"The first episode was not about Lil' Kim. Zakiya didn't understand what that day was. She's never been to a place where you work so hard to build a brand and build something that you're so proud of and I could choose not to allow you to ruin my day for me, my sponsors are there," Joseph-Taylor explained. "I think that's something that the girls are starting to learn what it is and what it takes."

Joseph-Taylor revealed that viewers will get to see her divorce from Flex play out during the season. She also admitted their breakup wasn't easy to go through. She has known the Bronx DJ for 30 years and they were together for 20 years.

"I met Flex when I was 10, 11. We dated officially at 20, got married at 30, and now divorced at 40! I always joke I'm gonna kill him at 50 but he's all I knew my whole adult life we've never lived apart so it took a lot of faith," she said.
