One Direction is certainly ending 2015 on a high note despite hitting a bump early on with the departure of Zayn Malik.

With that in mind, we're hoping the band will release a proper music video for their third single "History," but for now their emotional X Factor performance will do.

An Early One Direction Collaborator Got Nostalgic About The Band On Instagram!

We don't expect them to go on a set for days to shoot a music video since their hiatus should be respected (they deserve it), but perhaps some never before seen footage of them over the years with and without their fans can be montaged together for an official video.

Other things we hope to see from these four lads in 2016 include Instagram and Twitter pictures of them doing things they love to do, like golfing.

Plus, despite the break from the band, we hope it doesn't mean they're taking a break from each other entirely too. We understand needing space after spending so much time together in the last five years, but they should totally just go on a vacation together or something and share adorable group shots since fans love them.

In 2016 we hope they do continue to hone their crafts as songwriters, producers and whatever else their hearts desire musically. We know Payne worked with Irish boy band HomeTown and has music coming out with Juicy J, but we're really eager to see what else he comes up with as well as his bandmates.

Lastly, we hope they reunite with Malik and mend whatever fell apart in their friendships. Tomlinson has mentioned all is good between them, but in semi-recent interviews it seems like none of the remaining 1D members have really spoken to Malik, so perhaps it is time to work on their friendships with him out of the spotlight.
