Two weeks after she shared news of her plans to get married, actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler has announced that she is also pregnant. Sigler, 31, shared the news with Us Weekly 16 days after her fiancée, Cutter Dykstra, asked her for her hand in marriage.

"The pregnancy was a shock," an insider told Life & Style. "She just told the cast and crew of 'Guys.'"

Dykstra, 23, a baseball player who plays for the Washington Nationals, proposed to the Entourage actress on Jan. 27. The next day, Sigler shared the news on Twitter. She tweeted a link to her Instagram photo with the caption "so this just happened..."

The self-portrait showed Sigler flouting her diamond engagement ring, smiling while posed next to Dykstra, who she has been dating for about a year.

"Jamie couldn't be happier. Cutter is the perfect guy for her," a source told Us shortly after the couple got engaged. "Although they have only been together for a year, they both know that this is it for both of them. They are both on cloud nine as are their families and friends."

Dykstra could not contain his excitement about his plans for his wife-to-be and shared his joy on Twitter.

"Thanks everyone for all the love! Means so much," he tweeted Jan. 29. "Me and Jamie-Lynn are still on cloud nine!"

Dykstra is the son to baseball legend Lenny Dykstra, who played for the New York Mets in the 1980s and the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1990s. The marriage, though details on a date have not been announced yet, will be Dykstra's first but not Sigler's.

Sigler's breakout role was on HBO's The Sopranos and she married her former manager A.J. DiScala in 2003. Sigler changed her last name to DiScala but when the former couple split in 2005 she changed her name back to Sigler.
