Bloodline star Ben Mendelsohn wants fans to be prepared for what's ahead in season 2.

'Bloodline' Star Talks How Big Scene Between Danny & John 'Wasn't Fun' At All

Mendelsohn's performance as Danny Rayburn in Netflix's Bloodline was critically acclaimed and even netted him both an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe nomination. Those who have seen the entire first season of Bloodline may be shocked to learn that Mendelsohn is returning for season 2, but the actor recently spoke about the filming process for season 2.

The actor told Deadline that they are "just over half way" filming on the second season of Bloodline, adding, "What can I say about it? Not much. Strap on your seatbelt again. That's all I can say."

Mendelsohn also admitted that he is "very excited" about the way the story will evolve into season 2.

"I think that in a lot of ways the entire situation with Danny is really like a prologue. These guys, the show creators, they're kind of masters at the art and they will unfurl something pretty special," he said.

The actor also admitted that filming in the Florida Keys can be challenging, given the sometimes incredible heat and unpredictable storms.

"When it gets hot, it gets hot. And also it's very changeable. Storms can come in and out of there at a great rate. The days can be pretty unpredictable there. But it's easy to be in that world when you're there for several months. It's very, very easy. Because you do, in effect, become a sort of de facto local after a while," he admitted.

Bloodline season 2 does not have a set release date on Netflix, though with the first season premiering last March, fans should probably expect a similar time-frame for season 2.
