The pop princess was performing at Planet Hollywood on Saturday when something happened that didn't go over too smoothly. Based on a video released from TMZ, Spears was singing "Toxic" when she was on a platform with a giant tree behind her.

The singer showed off some sultry dance moves and flipped her hair back and forth, but part of this may have just been added since she was apparently supposed to soar over the audience. As it turned out, her harness got stuck to the tree so a a crew member had to climb up and unhook her.

And it appears that Spears didn't go over the crowd during that performance since she ended up just going down the steps to get to the stage.

At least the crowd still got to see the pop star's unique style as the song started off with slow motion and moved into its upbeat jam.

Check out the moment below.

Spears has opened up on what she likes to portray on stage. In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2011, she revealed that she carries herself in a way that doesn't have to be too extreme.

"I'm not gonna come out on this record and show my crotch or anything," she said. "That's not me. I would never do anything like that. It's all in the way you do stuff, all in the way you carry things. The music is most important to me."
