It looks like Lamar Odom is slowly picking up the pieces in his life, although it will be a long time before things are back to normal for him. A new report says the former NBA player is "very emotional and happy" now that he is no longer hospitalized after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel back in October.

According to Xpose on Tuesday, Odom celebrated the holidays with his children by his side, although there are no reports that indicate whether or not that included his former wife Khloe Kardashian. The reality star was by Odom's side as he struggled to recover during his near two-month star in the hospital. In fact, there were even rumors that stated Odom's children, Destiny, 17, and Lamar, Jr. 13, even had very little access to their father in the hospital because the Kardashians were always there.

A source said: ''Lamar is doing way better. He was so happy the kids were there with him for Christmas and they were so happy to be with him. The kids were happy... to bring him gifts, all of his favorite things that they wrapped up. They had so much fun. It was very emotional and very happy.''

Yet, there's also another insider that says it was Kardashian who paid for Odom's children's airfare so they could be with him for Christmas.

A source said: ''Khloé flew Lamar's kids out to Los Angeles so they can spend time with him, and Khloé came to Houston for a few days while his kids are in LA with him.''
