This type of comment ought to please Tom Hardy.
Jane Fonda, known as one of the most iconic actresses in Hollywood, just complimented Hardy on his performance as gangster twins in the movie Legend. After seeing one of his recent movies, she decided to give the other a shot and said what a wonderful job he did; she even compared him to legendary film star Marlon Brando.
"I saw The Revenant and asked who played the bad guy," Fonda said in Tuesday's report from USA Today. "It was Tom Hardy and then a lot of folks said, 'You gotta see him in Legend. There he played twin brothers who are British gangsters. He is really amazing in this film. I came to think of the two brothers and different people even though Hardy was playing both. And, as the more together of the brothers, Hardy is like a new Brando."
Brando was known for popular films like The Godfather, Apocalypse Now and Superman. He was also in a number of classics like A Streetcar Named Desire, The Wild One and On the Waterfront where he won the Oscar. He died in 2004.
Hardy, himself, has been having a pretty remarkable career with credits that include Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and Mad Max: Fury Road. He will also be seen in the TV mini-series Taboo.
