Singer Dave Matthews purchased a new home in Malibu, Calif. for the hefty price of around $7 million.

The 46-year-old front man for the Dave Matthews Band purchased the new home that comes equipped with an attached private beach, according to a Thursday report by TMZ.

Matthews reportedly paid $6,575,000 for the European-style country mansion that sits on a prime spot in the Point Dume area of Malibu.

The house measures in at roughly 7,000 square feet, and rests on 1.78 acres of flat land with access to the private Little Dume Beach. The gated home comes with six recently renovated bedrooms along with its own spa, swimming pool, and deeded, which graces the nearby coastline.

The property surrounding Dave Matthews' new Malibu estate even includes its very own apple orchard, according to AOL News.

The purchase of the house included additional plans and permits to construct a 900 square foot guest house.

Matthews can now add his Malibu residence to the other property he owns that includes 1,000 acres of farmland and a winery in Virginia as well as a bungalow in Seattle, Wash., according to Curbed.

The singer reportedly spends most of his time in Seattle and uses the Virginia properties for the summer with his family.

The singer is married to Jennifer Ashley Harper. The couple are parents to twin daughters Stella and Grace and son August.

Matthews was quoted by GeneStout in an interview last August about potentially moving his family.

"We haven't had a conversation about relocating school systems, which is really the big [question]," he told GeneStout in August. "It hasn't come to the dining room table. So at the moment, the only middle schools we're looking at are in the Seattle area. That's the only way I can answer that question."

No word yet if the new home purchase has changed the singer's mind about moving his children to schools in Malibu.
