Check Out The Emotional Trailer For 'Downton Abbey' Season 6

On Thursday, Irish Examiner posted details from Lesley Nicol who plays Mrs. Patmore on the British drama. Even though the show has just premiered its first episode for the sixth season, it seems like creator Julian Fellowes is interested in keeping the story going after the final episode.

"There is talk of a film," Nicol told This Morning. "He's left it open, but it's not like it couldn't carry on."

Michelle Dockery Gives Update On How 'Downton Abbey' Will End

The actress added that a movie may not happen for a while since Fellowes is busy working on other projects. But if everyone is patient, then perhaps it could happen someday.

"It's just whether he has the time, he's busy doing other things," Nicol said. "But he's a workaholic so who knows?"

It's been an emotional ride on the show and everyone got pretty teary on the last day of shooting. But they found a way to make each other feel a little better.

"It was like the last day of school, we were all a bit giddy and we gave each other presents and then we all got a bit emotional," Nicol said.

Downton Abbey airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on PBS. Only time will tell if a movie ever becomes official.
