Zayn Malik is not holding back his feelings on his former One Direction bandmates and their latest album Made In The A.M., the first effort without him.

Zayn Malik Thought Liam Payne 'Boasted' A Lot During Their 'X Factor' Days?

Malik has been quite a controversial figure since departing from One Direction last March. He had a Twitter feud with former bandmate Louis Tomlinson, which was really surprising at the time, since they were once so close.

He has since begun to open up about how One Direction did not properly represent him as a musician.

Did Zayn Malik & Gigi Hadid Confirm They're Boyfriend & Girlfriend?

In a new interview with Billboard, Malik said, "I genuinely enjoyed [the band] and did whatever I could to be myself within that, but it's just not where I sit as a musician."

He also pretty much confirmed he and his former bandmates are no longer friends, but there is a slight hope and possibility that he is at least still talking to Liam Payne.

Anyway, to make the friction worse between him and his former bandmates, Malik dissed their second single off of Made In The A.M.

"Perfect," in Malik's mind, is far from perfect.

"I'll be honest. I thought the first single was quite cool," he told Billboard, which is totally true.

Upon the release of "Drag Me Down," which was 1D's first single without Malik, the former band member took to Twitter to profess his praise of the new tune.

"Proud of my boys," he said, noting the single "is sick" in a good way.

That "proud" tune changed with the release of "Perfect" though.

"I heard the second single and (he screws up his face) yeah, I didn't buy the album," he commented.

That's a little harsh, right? What do you think, Enstars readers?
