After several pregnancy rumors and baby bump speculation, Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel have announced they are expecting their first child together, Associated Press reported.

A representative for the Black Eyed Peas singer confirmed the news Monday. The 37-year-old singer and 40-year-old actor got married in January 2009 in Malibu.

Both Duhamel and Fergie have shot down several pregnancy rumors, one most recently denied by Duhamel at the premiere of his movie, Safe Haven on Feb.5When asked by E! News if he had any baby news to share, Duhamel answered with a serious face, "No." When followed up by E! News correspondent who said, "You said it's going to be your greatest career achievement, so we're waiting," the actor responded, "greatest life achievement." And while on the red carpet in support of her hubby for Safe Haven, Fergie posed for photos on the red carpet at the premiere, wearing a not-so tight black Gucci dress, that left many people to wonder if she was hiding a baby bump.

Fergie has dodged pregnancy rumors in the past. In September, the singer appeared on the Rachel Ray show, telling Ray that her weight just tends to fluctuate.

"Sometimes I go a couple pounds down and I wear the clothes that are more fitted, but people kind of look at me because they're expecting [that] it's that time. We do hope for children and that will be coming up, but it's not yet."

Back in May 2011, Fergie said one of the main reasons the Black Eyed Peas were taking a break from music was to focus on their personal lives.

"We're taking a break ... getting more of that personal time," she said. "Josh and I have gotten to spend a lot more time together this year than other years, which is great," Fergie said in an interview.

Fergie launched her solo debut album, The Duchess, in 2006. It featured five Top 5 hits, including Fergalicious and Big Girls Don't Cry. Duhamel has appeared in the Transformer films and most recently in Safe Haven.

It seems as if the perfect time has arrived for the couple. Fergie posted a photo on Twitter, in which she broke the news:

"Josh & Me & Baby makes three!!#mylovelybabybump."
