Fans of Blue Mountain State were given an amazing gift last week with the first official look at the highly anticipated Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland, and now, Alan Ritchson appears to be making big plans to revive the original TV show as well.

The actor, who portrays the titular Thad in the film, took to Twitter to discuss playing the Powerball over the weekend, where he informed fans he would use his winnings-at the time, $900 million-to devote more time to either the show or the movie and make them a huge priority.

"If I win #powerball tonight, I'm producing 98900000 seasons of #BMS. Either that or one @BMSTheMovie with a budget of a billion," he wrote.

Unfortunately for Ritchson-and fans of the franchise-he didn't strike it big with the jackpot. The prize went unclaimed and jumped to $1.3 billion.

Of course, fans whose appetites for the long-delayed film were only whetted further with the release of a first clip would likely just be eager for specific news about the movie's release. Unfortunately, a release date has yet to be announced, and an official trailer has also not been dropped.

It is unclear if the movie will still receive the theatrical release it was aiming for though when it was first funded through Kickstarter, or if it will be instead switched to a direct to DVD release or will be put out exclusively on streaming sites including Netflix, Hulu and Amazon.
