While Nick Cannon has been rumored to be dating other superstars since his split from Mariah Carey, he made it clear he is not really up for saying his “I Dos” again after their shocking divorce.

He said in the latest issue of DuJour magazine, “I feel like marriage isn’t for everyone. A friend of mine put it the funniest way. He said, ‘If you heard that there was a 50/50 chance of living or dying when you jump out of a plane, you probably wouldn’t go skydiving.’”

He said the same applies to marriage, so he’s taking his precautions and added that others should follow suit.

“There’s like a 50/50 chance of a marriage working. If it didn’t work out for you the first time, and you still survived it, you probably shouldn’t do it again. I highly doubt [I’ll marry again].”

Interestingly enough, before tying the knot with Carey, he used to tell friends that he would never get married unless they were like Carey.

“And then it happened…When you can be blissful in [a marriage], it’s beautiful. Embrace it for the time that you have it, because it’s not easy. In human nature, we’re supposed to be selfish…We’re constantly moving, constantly changing and evolving. To expect someone to do that with you is kind of absurd.”

Still, he and the singer’s romance not working out didn’t put a stink on the holidays after they celebrated with their twins.

“Their mom makes Christmas very theatrical. They have the Rockefeller tree in their living room. Reindeer, Santa, the whole nine.”

And he has no issue with that at all.

“I don’t see a problem with them being different and having an eccentric upbringing. It’s fascinating and fantastic. But it’s about [teaching them] humility more than anything. Teaching them to be respectful. You can still be a diva and be humble. Mariah is a perfect example of that.”
