But it turns out Billy (Jason Thompson) really won't die, as reported by Soaps. He may have been taken off of life support, but he'll return to his loved ones.

Plus, in the episode airing today, Jan. 14, TVInsider revealed a sneak peek in which he will have an out-of-body experience and therefore talk to his family members sitting vigil by his hospital bed before returning to them.

Furthermore, in the sneak peek from The Young and the Restless YouTube channel, before anyone knows Billy is a fighter and will not die, they go about handling his death in different ways.

Kevin (Greg Rikaart) will throw himself into his work.

"I went right from Billy's bedside to Victor's [Eric Braeden] office," Kevin tells Mariah (Camryn Grimes).

"You closed the deal with Victor," she states somewhat questioningly.

It looks like Victor is the backer to Kevin's big project now.

Meanwhile, Victor will continue to insist to Noah (Robert Adamson) doesn't tell Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that he's responsible for running over Billy.

"I have to. Billy's going to die," Noah states, but Victor doesn't want to hear it.

Lastly, Jack (Peter Bergman) realizes Billy will be leaving his family soon.

"He won't be with us much longer, will he?" he asks Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Jill (Jess Walton).
