Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney appeared to be at odds over his lack of proposal on Monday night's new episode of Teen Mom OG, but according to him, things weren't exactly how they seemed.

On Instagram, McKinney revealed his feelings regarding the scene shown.

“TBH the Vegas trip was such a blast and not so down with the ring talk like the scene showed,” he posted, according to an OK! Magazine report on Wednesday. “And Maci doesn’t put the pressure on like the scene showed. Don’t get it twisted. It’s a show.”

“When are you going to make me an honest woman?” Bookout asked McKinney over dinner with friends, as fans saw on the show. “I’m tired of people saying, ‘He’s a piece of s—t because he won’t propose.' We’ve been together for three years, we have a child together and we own a house together. We can end it, just end it!”

However, prior to the season premiere, Bookout spoke to OK! Magazine, revealing the reason behind McKinney's desire to wait to become engaged.

“I think a lot of the reason really has to do with pressure from everyone to get married,” she explained. “I know he [Taylor] wants it to be a surprise so with everyone asking about when we’re getting married; it’s taking away from his desire to do it right now.”
