American Olympic gold medal swimmer Michael Phelps is reportedly dating Sarah Herndon.

The 22-year-old waitress and aspiring swimsuit model from California met Phelps in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, over the recent Christmas holiday. An unnamed friend of Herndon told Radar Online the couple met while she was vacationing with her family and that things moved quickly afterwards.

"She flew back to L.A. afterwards, but then Michael invited her out to the Bahamas last week where he was doing a celebrity golf tournament," the source claimed. "He offered to fly her out to stay with him, and of course she jumped at the chance. She got whisked off her feet, I mean he's a celebrity."

Herndon was interviewed by The Daily Mail and discussed her relationship with the 18-time gold medal Olympian.

"Michael's a good kisser," she admitted. "He's very cuddly and kissy, which is cute. He's charming and a gentleman."

Herndon was also asked about some of her more intimate times with Phelps, but she replied that those details will remain between her and her new beau.

"What happens between me and Michael intimately is our business," Herndon said. "And not something I care to talk about with anyone else besides us."

She also reportedly admitted that Phelps was an "amazing lover."

The pair vacationed together recently in the Bahamas and went snorkeling, cuddling and lobster fishing. The relationship comes after the 27-year-old swimmer broke up with aspiring model Megan Rossee in December after a 10 month romance, according to The Hollywood Gossip. Sarah also split with her boyfriend of 15 months in the beginning of December and she shared her feelings about being single with Phelps when they first met in Mexico.

"We both talked about how we were both recently single. He didn't say a lot. He just said it didn't work out (with Megan), it didn't sound to fun, I think that's just what happens when you break up with people," Herndon said.
