Adele, who will make her grand return to the stage when she performs at the Oscars on Feb. 24, took home the award for British Single for her single Skyfall at the 2013 BRIT Awards on Wednesday.
The song is off of the soundtrack for the James Bond film with the same name. Adele will perform Skyfall at the Academy Awards, where the song is also nominated for Best Original Score and Best Original Song. The United Kingdom native already won an award for Skyfall at the Golden Globes in January.
Adele did not attend the BRIT Awards since she is in Los Angeles preparing for her Oscars performance this weekend. She accepted the Best Single honor with a recorded message:
"Thank you so much for this Brit Award, it means a lot," she said. "Sorry I can't be with you tonight, I'm in LA rehearsing for the Oscars. I won't keep you too long because I don't want to interrupt the best album speech at the end of the night. But I love you all."
Other winners from the 2013 BRIT Awards include One Direction, Frank Ocean, Lana Del Rey, The Black Keys, Coldplay and Mumford & Sons.
