Regina (Lana Parrilla) will inevitably have to face those she has killed in the past in the upcoming return of ABC's Once Upon a Time.

ABC President Suggests 'Once Upon a Time' Renewal Sure To Come?

With our heroes set to trudge through the Underworld to find Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), Regina is going to reunite with some not-so-friendly faces of Once Upon a Time's past. Parrilla spoke about this in a new Entertainment Weekly report.

"She wants to confront these souls and these people that she has hurt, that she has killed," Parrilla said, of Regina. "She's on the right path, and she's still on the path of redemption. She still wants to make amends with people and still trying to do the right thing. She's really embracing the hero within her."

Will Peter Pan Still Have 'Selfish Intentions' In 'Once Upon a Time's 100th Episode?

Regina (Lana Parrilla) will have an "interesting" reunion with her mother, Cora (Barbara Hershey), for one, according to TVLine.

Many of our heroes are set to head into some deep territory, including Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas).

Emma "comes to terms with the fact that her role as Savior is just beginning," while Snow and Charming will discover there are "consequences to their headstrong jump to the Underworld, leaving a child behind," co-creator Adam Horowitz said in the TVLine report.

And their journey into the Underworld is "is the tip of the iceberg" for our heroes, said Horowitz. "That's just our entry way to another world and a wealth of stories that impact all our characters."

Once Upon a Time returns for the second half of season 5 on Sunday, March 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
